Information Services

Information services development began in 1995 to allow the Aerospace and Defense industries an easily accessible method of researching inventory availability as well as current and historical data about aerospace and defense related component purchases used in support of Air Transportation and U.S. Defense capabilities.

The widening availability of Internet access in the mid 1990’s allowed DSGI the unique opportunity to research and develop online solutions for electronic commerce and database access. Years of experience with proprietary software and networks provided the foundation for DSGI’s first projects.

These early development efforts earned DSGI a position as a Certified Value Added Network Provider for the U.S. Department of Defense as well as producing multiple subscription based information products that are still used by hundreds of organizations today.

APLS – The Advanced Procurement & Logistics System offers online access to inventory levels of hundreds of US Government suppliers – providing information on over 20,000,000 inventory items and over 130,000,000 individual reference data records.

DefenseData is a simple to use and cost effective information system providing reference information for US DoD’s National Stock Number Catalog.

RFQeXpert is DSG’s proprietary software and data system for collecting, publishing and matching US Government contract solicitations. Available as an integrated option for APLS and DefenseData subscribers.
